The dental health care industry is seen to cater to a number of patients every year. Many of them have the same old problem of tooth decay, some have gum problems while the others may need a more complicated treatment. But, one thing that the dentists have observed is that day by day, the number of people becoming victims of tooth erosion are increasing. This might at first sound a minor issue. But, the severity of the problem is truly felt when one realizes that this problem cannot be detected in its early stage. It is usually detected only when the enamel is badly affected. Thus, it is seen that tooth erosion not only destroys the tooth, but brings it to such a condition which is irreversible and the tooth cannot be restored.
The team at Mangan Dental Group - Dr. Steve Mangan, has recently studied about the various things that may be causing tooth erosion. But, when they came across a research paper by a famous dentist, they learnt that the changing lifestyle can be said to be the major cause of such disorders. This team of expert dentists in Little Rock has been putting in efforts to know all about the updates in the dental field.
The latest release, which they came across speaks about the drinks or juices that people often consume. According to them, these drinks may be a major cause for tooth erosion. The soft drinks, juices and the carbonated drinks are harmful not only for the teeth, but also to the body as they contain higher sugar content. Known to have helped many people deal with the most severe dental issues, the team here has made it a point to come forward and help patients save their teeth well in advance.
Dr. Steve Mangan, who said that he has come across many people who say that fruit juices are good for health, said that this is all untrue. Although the juice may be simply made by crushing the fruit, the sugars in it get absorbed soon as they are made simpler. This may increase the sugar in the blood stream. Moreover, juices contain smaller particles that can enter into any corner in between the teeth. This will cause food particles to remain there and in return will cause breeding of bacteria and tooth staining. He added that eating a fruit can prove to be more helpful since it contains fibers that are necessary for the body and prevent particles from going deeper between the gaps.
