Palak Kalra Arora, the CEO of Ontime Consultants, an emerging brand in the consultancy industry, is a truly exemplary womanpreneur. She runs her own consultancy firm without compromising her duties at home. There is no doubt in saying that her firm has seen a tremendous growth since inception. With the International Women's Day 2018 approaching fast, Shivangi Khurana took the opportunity to interview Mrs.Arora:
Shivangi: “Before we begin with the interview, how do you even manage to handle the business along with handling a family? I mean, even I’m a working lady, but being an HR is nothing compared to running a business!”
Palak: “The secret is to keep the hardest thing to handle around you all the time. Working in the same space, I can be sure about whether Sunny is fine or not. Believe me, that solves most of the trouble”
Shivangi: “I totally agree that husbands are a good half of the household responsibility. But what about the business? It is still a bit mind-boggling to think that you handle both, your family and your company, at the same time”
Palak: “I wouldn’t lie, it is difficult. But so is life. I prefer accepting it as it comes and molding it to the best possible version. I remember when I started Ontime Consultants. Being an independent woman, I relied solely on my own capital to get everything done. Businesses run into problem every passing second, and tapping on to even half of them is next to impossible. So, I don’t worry about the problems. I just pick the problems up and start solving them. And if I run into problems which I can’t solve, I can always ask Sunny to help me out. He’s always ready to help.
Shivangi: “Your team is already helpful. BrainMobi can always rely on you for hirings and other matters”
Palak: “What do I say? I just try to help in whatever manner I can. And I’m only giving back some of the love and support BrainMobi and their team gave to me, while developing Ontime’s website. I remember when I started Ontime Consultants. Being an independent woman, I relied solely on my own capital to get everything done. I asked BrainMobi to develop my website and they did. That too at a price that many web development companies would find a rock bottom price. Seriously, they only charged as much as their bare minimum cost was.
Shivangi: “It has been our pleasure working with you! Since 8 March is International Women's Day, and its mid-February already, we would like to ask you to participate in our International Women’s Day campaign”
Palak: “It has been a pleasure for me as well, and I’m more than willing to participate in your campaign. So what would I have to do?”
Shivangi: “To start with, think about the woman who inspired you the most. Now record a video or just write a post on Facebook or Twitter tagging that woman and telling everyone why she is an inspiration for you. Once done, the tagged woman would have to tag the woman who inspires her the most and it goes on and on. And don’t forget to use the hashtag #womanspiring!”
Palak: “Sounds great! Alright then I’ll do it as soon as possible”
Shivangi: “Awesome! We’ll be waiting for your post. Thanks a lot for taking the time out for the interview!”
Palak: “It has been a pleasure. Good luck for your campaign!”
