As The Use of Drones Become Increasingly Popular, Drone-Design Contests Amp Up
Recently, Dmitry Fedotov, CEO of RG Group, was one of nine individuals to judge the first Airbus Cargo Drone Design

freePRnow.com, 7/05/2016 - It is estimated that by the year 2020 approximately 30,000 drones will be soaring through the skies at any given moment in the United States alone. For Dmitry Fedotov, the CEO of Resume Games, he's not surprised at all.

"Drones continue to grow in popularity because they can be used in a variety of ways," he explained. "They can easily gather aerial video, still photographer, deliver packages, etc. Most importantly, they're cost-effective."

Fedotov has been involved with drone technology for years, most notably during his employment as CEO of MULTICHANNEL Group. There, drones were used to monitor company campus, assist with marketing purposes and even to meet and greet campus visitors.

Because of his first-hand involvement in these high-tech devices, he was recently selected a judge for the first annual Airbus Cargo Drone Challenge. The company partnered with Local Motors in an effort to rapidly advanced the development of commercial drones.

"Drones are the future, and they are quickly changing how the world functions and operates," stated Fedotov. "While rules and regulations will need to be implemented to ensure the public's safety and privacy, we, as a society, should continue to explore ways to utilize these life-changing devices."

During the competition, the first of its kind, the judges reviewed 425 submissions. The goal of the global challenge was to yield new ideas and designs for small-scale cargo transport as well as put an emphasis on urgent delivery of life-saving medical supplies. More than $117,000 in total prize money was awarded to six talented individuals.

"It was truly an honor to serve as a judge for this drone competition," stated Fedotov. "I was beyond impressed with the drone designs. It is very difficult to select a winner when they all have unique features."

According to Fedotov, he hopes the competition will spread further exposure to how drones can benefit the world both commercially and personally. He also wants to thank the hundreds of people who participated in the competition.

"They were all winners in my book. Involvement in the competition is helping to further advance the use of commercial drones in ways like never before," he stated.
