Giovanni Gammuto started his career repairing and restoring bowed string instruments at a very young age. His love of the craft led him to accept the challenges associated with creating his own brand of violins, under the guidance of his mentors. His quest for technical excellence has never left him. In his successful career of over 43 years, Mr. Gammuto has made hundreds violins using the finest quality materials, and tried and true techniques. He has established a significant following of new, and devoted repeat clients.

All through these years, Giovanni Gammuto has developed special expertise in working with varied wood grain patterns, ground colors and layering of tinted varnishes. While performing the job of restoration, he puts special emphasis on matching the finish of re-worked areas. Giovanni Gammuto treats every project, whether large, or small with the same focused attention to detail. His goal is to improve the physical stability and tone quality of every instrument he works on. He is well known for accepting jobs that other repair shops shy away from.
