NAPERVILLE, IL—Hammer Wrestling School starts in June 2011, at the North Central College. Classes will be held from June 6th to August 4th every Monday and Thursday from 5:30 – 7pm at the wrestling room of North Central College. Classes are designed for athletes of all levels and ages, grades K-12.“We love the sport of wrestling and believe in promoting our great sport to anyone wishing to improve, regardless of skill level or experience. Wrestling is our passion. Passion is contagious. We hope to spread our enthusiasm and we will be persistent in our efforts,” Said Hammer Wrestling founder Karl Bratland.
The sessions will cover various aspects of the sport of wrestling, including but not limited to: technique, drills, strength/conditioning, mental preparation, and nutrition. This program is specifically designed for improvement for any level. Our coaches are experienced in coaching and wrestling and understand the importance of one on one training and attention. Members of the North Central wrestling team will be assisting with the sessions throughout the camp, and participants will be encouraged to join in the Hammer Team and become persistent in perfection.
“We have seen the kind of improvement that takes place when wrestlers train in this manner, especially during summer months. We’ve also seen how this program builds self-esteem and promotes a sense of belonging,” said Jake Sandborn, Coach for Hammer Wrestling School.
