The APEX Award of Excellence announced last week that Hektoen International (www.hekint.org), the Hektoen Institute’s digital medical humanities journal, has been named for the first time, a recipient of their Grand Award in the magazines, journals and tabloids category. This is the sixth APEX award that Hektoen International has received but the others were in the Award of Excellence designation. The Grand Award is given to only 100 of the more than 1,000 entrants.
The APEX Awards are sponsored by Communications Concepts and has held the publishing, editing, writing and design competition for 37 years. Other 2025 APEX Grand Award winners include publications by:

• The American Journal of Nursing
