[Provo, 12/28/2016] – Heritage Treatment Center, a Utah-based provider of therapeutic programs for teenagers, is proud to introduce their Elevate Academy program. It provides support for bright but emotionally-challenged students by helping them get back on track to success. The center employs
Elevate Academy mentors certified in the Heritage relationship method, which helps increase discipline, self-esteem, self-mastery, and trust.
Allowing Students to Live a Healthy and Balanced Lifestyle
The center shares a passion for healthy living activities and habits. Thus, they offer outdoor recreational activities to help students develop their talent and discover their interests. Students can participate in other activities as well, such as team sports, camping, performing arts, skiing, hiking, and biking.
The center also provides gender-specific activities with appropriate and supervised co-ed social interactions. These are for students looking to adopt healthy living skills and gain a passion for life.
Helping Students Develop Emotional Awareness and Regulation
The center encourages Elevate Academy students to log their moods daily. The student and their therapist will, in turn, analyze these mood logs regularly.
This process enables the students to hone their cognitive awareness, which is the essence of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The goal is to develop emotionally-challenged teenagers’ the ability to manage moods properly.
Developing Time Management and Planning Skills through Executive Functioning Training
The center helps students develop time management and planning skills. The students will learn how to plan, organize, and review the results of their actions. Furthermore, students will learn how to adopt proven practices in order to instill confidence in their abilities and encourage them to experience feelings of accomplishment.
