Progressive Architecture, a Minneapolis-based architectural firm with over 20 years of experience, brings its contemporary class and style to the Twin Cities. When Orion Associates needed to double the square footage of its offices, it began looking around Minneapolis for architectural firms. With so many options to choose from, Orion wanted to find a local company with long ties to the community and a proven ability to achieve LEED certification.
LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is an initiative to construct, maintain and operate green buildings around the world. LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient, meaning they use less energy and water while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
After interviewing numerous candidates, Orion settled on Progressive Architecture of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the last two decades Progressive has completed buildouts and remodels for a wide variety of industries including retail, media, hospitality and more. Progressive is especially adept and design, analysis, engineering and project management.
“We do a lot of listening and planning first, then we bring our client’s visions to life,” says Progressive Architecture owner Scott Mower.
After completing the job on time and on budget, Orion was amazed at Progressive’s ability to meet allits design goals and then some. Even better, the project received LEED Gold Certification for its water and energy conservation design while also using long-term economical strategies in the buildout, such as metal panel siding and controlled daylighting.
Another example of Progressive’s ability to make visions become reality was the makeover of a popular U of M hangout, Blarney Pub and Grill near Dinkytown. The pub was due for a large remodel and buildout that would cater to a larger clientele. The owners hoped to expand their lunch crowds while remaining a popular destination at night for students. Progressive met both goals, completing a remodel that doubled the size of the pub and created a balanced design that catered to both crowds.
Blarney and Orion is just a few examples of Progressive Architecture’s many successful remodels over the last 20 years. The company has worked with hundreds of businesses throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and upper Midwest, completing projects on everything from 600 sq. ft. homes to 100,000+ sq. ft. industrial buildings.
If it’s time for a remodel, it’s time to call Progressive Architecture.
