Dr. Hratch Karamanoukian highly recommends the miraDry procedure to patients with excessive underarm sweating, also known as axillary hyperhidrosis. Dr. Karamanoukian states "I offer EVERY procedure and treatment for underarm sweating and believe that the miraDry procedure is simply the least invasive and most likely to be a permanent solution to this problem - which has so many implications from a quality of life standpoint".
The doctor no longer offers the sympathectomy procedure for isolated hyperhidrosis of the underarms. Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy is also referred to as micro ETS or STITCH procedures. micro ETS may cause compensatory sweating. miraDry has not been shown to cause compensatory sweating and is therefore an excellent choice for isolated hyperhidrosis of the underarms.
Dr. Karamanoukian works with his partner, Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian in his New York and Santa Monica offices. We are in the process of procuring a system for our California patients, said Dr. Raffy.
Both have written 5 books about hyperhidrosis and offer them at no charge to their patients. One is specifically oriented towards the miraDry procedure.
Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian and Dr. Hratch Karamanoukian are board certified surgeons and experts in wellness. Dr. Hratch Karamanoukian is a board certified in General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Phlebology; whereas Dr. Raffy Karamanoukian is board certified in Plastic Surgery and Phlebology.
