progrss.com: sharing urban innovations and inspiring city stories from across the world. We are excited to welcome you to www.progrss.com - your gateway to urban innovation, design, culture and the minds building the cities of the future.
For the first time in human history, the number of people living in urban environments has surpassed the number of people living rural areas. By 2050, it is estimated that 75% of the global population will be living in cities.
Most striking, perhaps, is the fact that 60% of the cities of 2050 have not yet been built.
But with challenges come great opportunities, and it is no understatement to say that humanity’s future will largely be determined by the cities that we create today. And that’s where progrss comes in: by creating global networks between cities, communities and innovations from the cities around the world, progrss is continually tracking the challenges, opportunities, and tools that communities and professionals are innovating and leverage to create move liveable, connected cities.
