Plano, Texas 16, April 2015- KEYE-TV conducted an investigation of a Tax office Caldwell (original article can be read at http://www.keyetv.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/tax-documents-found-dumpster-caldwell-county-25058.shtml) which focused on shredded documents in the dumpster behind the building. It was found that many documents such as those containing social security numbers were able to be pieced together. This includes Ronnell Spears, who filed his taxes 3 years ago, and was concerned at the possibility of his personal information being compromised. Since the office he filed through did not follow proper disposal protocol defined by H&R Block, the investigation team could easily collect and reassemble the document.Secure on-site shredding is providing their service to many businesses this month in respect to tax season in order to protect the personal information of people in the DFW area.
