Soil Conservation – Everybody's Combined & Collective Responsibility
Soil erosion must be prevented and sedimentation control effected to avoid serious repercussions. In Australia, the “Coastline Sediment Control” endeavors to take up this onerous task in a big way!

freePRnow.com, 6/04/2014 - Sediment is soil, debris and other pollutants disturbed and detached from the surface of the site when earthworks begin. Through rain the sediment can travel from your site and run into the drains and gutters entering storm water systems and ending up in the lakes, wetlands, rivers and finally the sea.

This raises the levels of the lakes, wetlands and rivers increasing the risk of flooding. It can also effect the surface water quality increasing the filtering costs of public water supply. Another side effect is the decrease of oxygen in the water, suffocating fish and other aquatic life, ruining the scenic values of the waters and impacting on the environment.

Everyone has a responsibility to prevent site erosion and keep the soil on site. Coastline Sediment Control aims to prevent and control the accelerated erosion during the construction phase, saving time and money for you and your client and protecting you from prosecution. (Polluting storm water is an offence that can result in “on the spot” fines or legal prosecution !)
