LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a global initiative to construct green energy buildings and reshape the future. LEED-certified buildings have a variety of features that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and are resource efficient.

Orion spent month sorting through potential candidates, eventually settling on Progressive Architecture of St. Paul, Minnesota. Progressive is a well-established architectural firm with strong ties to the community.

Over the last two decades Progressive has completed hundreds of projects spanning many industries, including hospitality, retail and more. Progressive well known for its design capabilities and engineering skill sets.

Orion was more than satisfied with Progressive’s ability to complete the project within budget and on time. Even better, theproject was awarded LEED Gold Certification because of its energy and water conservation design that also implemented long-term strategies in the buildout, such as controlled lighting and metal panel siding.

Blarney Pub and Grill, a popular spot near the University of Minnesota campus, was also due for a

remodel. The pub’s owners envisioned a makeover where students could take a break

between classes and enjoy great food. Once again, Progressive completed a remodel that doubled the size of the pub and provided a balanced design that now makes it appealing to the business casual by and college crowd by night.
