Complex Institute of Education technical security classes are moving towards a paperless classroom.Head Trainer Casey Van Engelen said “with all the current legislation and licenses we had over 2300 pages of information to hand out to each student. This was extremely costly, very cumbersome for the students and environmentally unfriendly, so we are moving towards having providing all of this information to our students in an online format” To achieve this Casey and his team researched all of the options and decided they would use the software program “Flipbooks.”
“ the reason we went with Flipbooks was it allowed us to provide all of the students with the course content in an easy to follow format and the Flipbook editing tools enabled us to customise the material” said Casey.
Bruce Nguyen who did his original studies at Complex and has now gone on to become the senior trainer said, “themove to a paperless learning experience for the students has seen a dramatic increase in student engagement and learning. Every student now has a laptop provided for the course which is preloaded with all the manuals. Students can now instantly access their resource materials during class and this has led to a serious increase in the levels of knowledge they acquire during their course.”
Peter Whitford the founder and chairman of Complex said, “we are committed to innovation and continuous improvement. Everything we do at Complex is focussed on enhancing the students learning experience and getting them prepared and properly skilled to enter the workforce.”
