New Delhi, June 17, 2017: Trained digital marketing professionals shouldn’t be taken as freshers as they possess at least basic knowledge on search and social media marketing and also they have good understanding of the latest trends in digital marketing.Mr. Udit Khanna, leading marketer, trainer and owner of Expert Training Institute Rohini Delhi, expressed his concern over trained SEOs and SMOs called freshers. He was speaking at the weekly conference for digital marketers. ETI hosts weekend conferences for digital marketing enthusiasts. These conferences help students explore options in the field of online advertising and also the conferences are meeting points of minds.
Last week’s conference was focused on “The Challenges of Hiring Freshers”. Mr. Udit Khanna delivered the opening lecture on using the word “Freshers” for trained digital marketing professionals. He made the point that trained professionals weren’t freshers. The conference was attended by leading recruitment groups and HR companies. Also there were HR managers from media houses, ad agencies and other businesses.
HR manager of Naukri.com, a portal for end-to-end online recruitment and career solutions, said in the conference that most freshers didn’t know how to prepare their resumes. The manager further maintained that freshers didn’t look confident but he agreed to the point made by Mr. Udit Khanna.
Expert Training Institute provides comprehensive training in digital marketing and the training boosts confidence of the students. It includes practical training on live projects and also the students are provided an opportunity to try whatever they have learnt with free one year domain and hosting service. Students trained on live projects can’t be freshers.
Mr. Khanna restricted the discussion on Fresheres issue to digital marketing instead of applying it to every industry. He said that while others could be called Freshers but trained digital marketing professionals can’t be frehsers. They know basics of SEO and also they are ready to create and manage social media campaigns.
Some people are of the opinion that digital marketing especially SEO can be learnt without any course. There are many websites that provide free training in digital marketing but this training is limited to theory and also the students are left to look for ways to improve their knowledge and skills. These SEOs are freshers as they have no practical knowledge on search and social media marketing.
All the participants were agreed to the point made by Mr. Udit Khanna. HR managers said that they also wanted to remove the word Freshers as it put limitations over jobseekers.
