For the past few months, the Vitals Global Healthcare has set up and worked on various reformative approaches regarding a number of healthcare programs that are now set for execution across various hospitals across the Maltese demographic. At present, the company has successfully named its operations team to look up and manage hospitals assigned to Vitals Global Healthcare by the government itself. Priorities as such, the Vitals officials believe that this new team will be responsible for the future of VGH-operated hospitals.Dr. Armin Ernst has been appointed Chief Executive, with Mr. Eric Buehrens as the Operations Chief. In a statement released by VGH, the company revealed that Dr. Armin Ernst is a renowned lung specialist who has had various research experiences and prior publications to his name. He is a Harvard-educated medical professional and has held numerous positions at the high table in many hospitals installed within the United States. He is expected to lead a team of professionals to help manage Karin Grech, St Luke’s and Gozo General Hospitals.
The statement further revealed that Mr. Eric Buehrens will assist Dr. Armin Ernst in the future decisions and operations-related projects. Buehrens has working experience in various healthcare sectors for the past 20 years. Furthermore, Mr. Mark Lisher will be the Head of Finance, the latter having 25 years’ worth experience in the financial sector and a commendable 14-year experience in the health sector.
Dr. Nadina Delicata and Dr. Stephen Zammit will remain as Executive Heads of the Gozo General Hospital and Karen Grech Rehabilitation Hospital respectively. However, it said, that the two will join Vitals Global Healthcare managerial team. VGH added that the team will also include Mr. Micky Singh as Information Head; Ms. Mina Popova, the head of Quality and Risks; Mr. John Bezzina will be responsible for human resources; while Ms. Alessandra Pace will the Communications and Marketing Head.
On a relatively different note, Dr. Ernst has stated that his team will be providing intangible services to Maltese and Gozitan communities through aspects of excellence, compassion, and competence. He believes that the medical care system should be ‘personal and innovative’ to an extent so that the patient is given what’s best. It is expected that the team will be looking after the future interests of the company and simultaneously the patients via careful allocation of resources at the ideal moment, for the ideal time.
