MCP Talent Agency is a family-owned talent agency and speakers bureau that has been matching performers with audiences since 1972. What began as one Saskatoon musician helping callers find a good band has grown into an agency trusted by corporations, associations, universities, healthcare organizations, and charities alike. Its team books talent for events across Canada, the United States, and internationally, and it approaches each booking the way an experienced event advisor would. Before any contract, the team wants to know what the event is meant to accomplish.Every planner knows the feeling when an entertainer is not booked on time. The venue is booked, the menu is set, and the entertainment line on the agenda is still blank. Picking something that looks fun is easy. Picking something that suits a room of accountants, sales reps, and their spouses on a Friday night is much harder. MCP Talent Agency handles corporate event entertainment for holiday parties, award nights, conference evenings, client appreciation events, and company milestones. The list includes clean comedians, musicians, dueling pianos, magicians, hypnotists, and even game show-style entertainment that gets the audience up out of their seats.
"A lot of planners come to us with a list of ideas they found online. The ideas aren't the problem. The problem is picking one without asking who's in the room, what time the act goes on, or what happened at last year's party. A hypnotist can be the highlight of one night and fall flat the next. Our job is to ask those questions early, so the night people talk about on Monday is the one the planner hoped for," said a spokesperson for MCP Talent Agency.
The agency also takes on the work that tends to eat up a planner's week. It turns recommendations into a shareable proposal so options can go straight to a committee or executive for approval. It discusses the budget openly and gives clear quotes based on the event's goals. Once the booking is secured, the team handles everything else to ensure there are no hitches on the performance date. MCP Talent Agency provides clear, upfront quotes tailored to each event’s budget with no hidden fees. If an act must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, the agency's replacement guarantee ensures the team acts immediately to secure a suitable substitute.
