ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE offers a variety of different gap year travel programs that are available to students around the world. With over 100 different countries represented, there is sure to be a program that fits the interests and needs of every student. Whether you are looking to volunteer in a developing country or learn about another culture firsthand, Rotary International has a program for you. In response to a query regarding their gap year program, Rotary International's spokesperson said. "Programs for people taking a gap year normally last one academic year. You will stay with two to three host families so that you may better understand the culture. The host Rotary club thoroughly evaluates and chooses all host families to guarantee your safety. The local Rotary club that is hosting you also provides a monthly stipend and designates a dedicated counselor to assist you in making the most of your exchange."
ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE has announced a new lineup of gap year travel programs for students . The organization, which is dedicated to promoting peace and humanitarianism, will now offer opportunities for students to volunteer in countries all over the world. These new programs are designed to give young people an immersive cultural experience while also helping others in need. Participants will have the opportunity to work on projects such as building homes, teaching English, and providing medical care.
The spokesperson further added. "A high school foreign exchange student's gap year abroad is an immersion into a foreign culture. Your perspective on individuals in other nations will alter permanently when you become a global citizen. The advantages outweigh the difficulties similarly."
ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE Program offers students ages 15-19 the opportunity to spend one academic year living with a host family in a different country. Students learn about other cultures, make new friends, and gain global citizenship skills. This year, more than 1,000 exchange students are attending high schools in the United States.
