Washington, DC – Rotary Youth Exchange is an application-based program dedicated to matching the right students and sending them to study in the right country and to stay with the right family. By students participating in the program, they will have the opportunity to go to school in a new place and experience what it's like to be immersed in a new culture. They are always committed to the safety and protection of every student who desires to become a member of the global community. The company spokesperson said, "We offer three types of exchanges for high school students. For a truly amazing life-changing experience, there is nothing like a long-term exchange. Participants will attend high school and may or may not get credit back home for courses taken. Each student will have up to two or three host families through the year, to broaden the micro-experience and see the variations that exist within all cultures."
Find gap year programs at Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary's gap year program takes place during the school academic year that is immediately following graduation from high school and before enrolling in college or university studies. Students interested in participating in the program must not be older than 19 years by the time of departure after graduation. Also, they must be sponsored by a local Rotary club and must complete a written application. In the program, all students are required to attend high school in the host country. The program is usually less stressful to students as no academic credits are needed for graduation from their high school back home.
The company spokesperson added, "Those interested in a taste of the world and willing to share theirs with others, then the short-term program may be good for them. Our short-term exchange program usually takes place during the summer and brings together paired families from different countries. Typically, a student would spend three to four weeks overseas with a family that has a son or daughter of approximately the same age. And then, the student and his or her new host sibling would come back for a three to four-week stay with his or her family. This is called the summer short-term exchange. We also have a two-month short-term exchange program where our students go out to another country for July and August and, in return, host a student here for December and January."
