A company’s first batch of logo caps often looks great. The trouble usually shows up a year later, when the second batch arrives in a slightly different shade, or the logo sits a little lower on the front panel. 2LC Graphics has helped Houston businesses avoid that problem since 2003. Founder and president Claudia Lievano runs the shop on a simple idea. Every customer gets one contact who knows the order, keeps track of the details, and checks each piece before it leaves.Caps and polos make up a large share of 2LC Graphics' embroidery work, and the two often go out as a set. Custom embroidered polo shirts give office workers, sales personnel, and service employees a sharp, professional look that doesn't fade after weekly washes. Trucker caps carry the same logo and are worn in the field, at events, at work sites, and inside stores. All logos are stitched using Tajima sewing machines and Madeira thread, from the very
first order to the tenth. Customers can choose from structured and unstructured caps, mesh-back trucker caps, and polo shirts from popular brands like Nike, Carhartt, The North Face, Port Authority, and OGIO. Embroidery orders start at 12, and each cap and polo requires its own dozen. The design must stay the same within each run, but you can mix sizes and colors.
“A cap is a small thing until a customer notices the new guy’s logo looks different from everyone else’s. Business owners don’t want to reorder and hope. They want the same color, the same size, and the same spot on the hat every time. That only happens when someone tracks the details and checks the work before it ships. Every order here goes through one person who knows it from start to finish,” said a spokesperson for 2LC Graphics.
It’s quite easy to understand. After you place your order, you receive the proof the next day, which shows the thread color, logo size, and position. No stitching starts until the proof is accepted. Most orders take around two weeks to complete, so a company organizing a class for new hires, participating in a trade show, or hiring seasonal employees can easily schedule events around that timeline. It’s quite easy, and all the embroidery will be done either using the PDF version or the high-resolution JPEG version of the logo. There are no extra charges for simple changes, and if the logo needs redrawing, we'll quote it first. Local pickup in Houston can be arranged.
